OREGON & SOUTHERN IDAHO LABORERS-EMPLOYERS TRAINING TRUST

The mission of the OREGON & SOUTHERN IDAHO LABORERS-EMPLOYERS TRAINING PROGRAM is to be an asset to local unions and their signatory employers by:
•    Recruiting, training and mentoring a diverse group of apprentices
•    Providing ongoing training and education opportunities to journey worker Laborers
•    Being responsive to the training needs of signatory employers

We accomplish this with an excellent training facility, state of the art equipment and technology, highly motivated, skilled instructors, and a caring and respectful staff. Through this, we aim to create a professional, safe, skilled and productive workforce.

Our vision is to become the premier construction training program in North America.

 The Oregon and Southern Idaho Laborers-Employers Training Trust Fund admits students of any race, color, national origin, ethnic origin, and gender and all students have the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. The Oregon and Southern Idaho Laborers-Employers Training Trust Fund does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnic origin, and gender in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and any other programs that are administered by the Training Trust Fund.

OSHA’s New Crane and Derrick Standard
Effective November 8, 2010, the new standard sets qualification and training requirements for signal persons and riggers, certification requirements for crane operators, and compliance dates for contractors. For more information on complying with Subpart CC of the cranes and derricks in construction final rule, click on the following fact sheets.  The qualified-rigger fact sheet is a guide for determining if a worker is qualified to properly rig the load for a particular job.  The signal-person fact sheet explains the proper qualifications for a worker whose job is to direct a crane operator under specific conditions.
