Online Blueprint Reading

Through our affiliation with LIUNA Training, you have the access to online training, including the Online Blueprint Reading course. As with any training taken through OSILETT, you must be a member in good standing. While you are not required to register for online classes through your Local Union, the information you provide in the registration process will be used in checking your standing with the Local. So it is important to provide complete and accurate information, including date of birth and social security number when asked.

To access the online training, including the online Blueprint Reading Course, you must first register for an account with LIUNA Training. Once you have registered for an account, you must enroll in the online course you wish to take. The system generates an email to OSILETT with your information. We'll check to make sure you are a member in good standing and then approve your enrollment.

Please follow the steps below to create an account:

 

Registration and Enrollment Process for On‐line Courses

On‐line training courses are available to LIUNA members who are registered account holders. To register as an accountholder follow the steps under ‘User Registration’ below. If you are already a registered account holder, sign in to your account then follow steps 7‐8 under ‘User Registration’. Then, verify your account profile and make changes as needed before proceeding to ‘On‐line Class Registration’.

User Registration

  1. From a computer access www.liunatraining.org

  2. In the upper right corner of the homepage SELECT ‘Affiliate Services’; a login box will appear.

  3. Beneath the ‘Password’ box SELECT ‘Register for an Account’; a User Registration Form will appear.

  4. Complete the required fields in the ‘User Registration Form’ then SELECT ‘Save Changes’.

  5. Return to the ‘Affiliate Services’ User Login screen.

  6. Sign‐in using your newly created User Login and Password; you will be directed to the welcome screen.

  7. Next SELECT the ‘Affiliate Services’ icon; you will be directed to the Welcome Screen.

  8. On the Welcome screen under ‘Member Services’ SELECT ‘User Profile’.

  9. Complete the required fields in the ‘User Profile’ form then SELECT ‘Save Changes’. Note: the ‘Role’ field will be completed automatically. Do not make any changes to this field.

10. Congratulations! You are now a registered account holder. To access online classes, close your browser completely and restart it. Then register to take online classes by following the steps below.

On‐line Class Registration

  1. From a computer access www.liunatraining.org

  2. In the upper right corner of the homepage SELECT ‘Affiliate Services’; a login box will appear.

  3. ENTER your User Login and Password.

  4. SELECT the ‘Affiliate Services’ icon to go to the Welcome Screen.

  5. On the Welcome screen under the ‘Member Services’ menu SELECT ‘Training Schedule’; the list of available online training sessions for your training fund will appear.

  6. LOCATE the class you wish to register for and SELECT ‘Enroll’.

  7. The following message will display:

‘Approval from your training director is required before you can take an online course with Affiliate Services. To apply for approval click the submit button’.

8. Your enrollment in the course will be complete upon the training director’s approval. Please check with your local training fund for enrollment status information.

Taking the Course

  1. Sign on to the Affiliate Services portal following steps 1‐4 above.

  2. Once logged in, SELECT ‘Training Schedule’ from the ‘Member Services’ menu.

  3. The list of available on‐line sessions for your training fund will appear.

  4. A Red Apple icon will appear next to the class(es) that you have ENROLLED in.

  5. To begin a class, CLICK on the Red Apple icon next to the name of the appropriate session. Note that this icon will change as you progress through the on‐line course; see the Status Legend below.

6. If you have questions or need assistance during the on‐line course, please contact your local training fund.

Enter your name, address, and other requested information. When selecting the "Training Fund," be sure to select Oregon Southern Idaho at the drop down menu (do not select Northwest as the Training Fund, this will delay your approval). This will ensure you receive proper credit for successfully completed courses. If you encounter a question that asks you to select the General Role, select "Registered User" and not "Trustee" or "Instructor." Selecting a role other than Registered User will delay your approval and may cause an error that would require you to re-register in the system.

Following these instructions will speed the process of registration. Please note that if you want to take online classes, you must first be approved as a Registered User.

Once approved, you will need to log in at http://www.liunatraining.org and use the Affiliate Services link. After log in, click on the Affiliate Services link and then click on the Member Services link in the upper left part of the page. Then click on Training Schedule, the next page should say Oregon-Southern Idaho, then click on the Select Fund button. 

The next page lists all of the courses offered by LIUNA Training. Under the Construction heading, there are several listings for Blueprint Reading. In our experience, it is best to choose the Blueprint Reading (modules 1-7)(54 hours), by clicking on Enroll.

Clicking on this link will generate an email to the Director at OSILETT, who must approve your registration before you can begin the course. This can take from 24-72 hours, once approved, you will receive an email from the LIUNA Training system indicating that you can start taking your class.

Please note that over the last few years, there have been some changes to the LIUNA Training website (formerly Laborers LEARN). However, all links on this page will lead you to the proper place in the LIUNA Training system.

Already have a LaborersLEARN or LIUNA TRAINING account?

If you already have a LaborersLEARN or LIUNATraining account, simply log in as usual, here.

 

Once you have logged in, click on the "View Training Schedules" link to view available courses. To request registration for the online Blueprint Reading Course (Modules 1-7, 54 hours), click "Enroll."


 


Once enrolled, click on the red apple icon and you should have access to the class. You can take a part of the class, log out, and your progress will be saved. Follow the steps back to the red apple icon each time you want to continue in the class.

Please Note: There are tests at the end of each module, 80% is required for passing.  Apprentices will be credited with 40 hours for successful completion of all modules.
